One of the functions polyurethane foam can possess is its ability to absorb a certain substance and later, when needed, release it again. We call this the “carrier” function.
Think about polyurethane shoe polishing dispensers or paint rollers and pads. Other examples are cosmetics pads and all kinds of sponges. Also ink pads and stamps, polishing disks and wound padding illustrate applications where polyurethane foam is used as a carrier.
