Description

Situseal® is a flame laminable polyether foam with low and controlled air permeability. Originally developed as a barrier foam for automotive applications such as headrests and armrests. It is mainly used in conjunction with pour-in-place/in-situ technology*. Compared to ester based foams, Situseal shows excellent resistance to humid ageing and other demanding conditions. It is available in low-emission versions to meet strict automotive requirements.

* A liquid PU foam is injected into a cover made of a foam-textile complex which is then placed in a mould. The part takes its final form during the polymerisation process of the injected foam. This technology replaces the traditional process of assembling a cover over a pre-shaped foam core.
